DropCommerce uses affiliate marketing as a way of monetizing its blog. Affiliate marketing is a form of marketing where one party (DropCommerce) sends traffic to the products or services on another company's website. Typically, this is done by embedding specific URL links in your content. When a link is clicked, the user is sent to the other website, and the link allows the receiving website to understand where the traffic is coming from. If the visiting user ends up purchasing something on the receiving website, then the receiving website gives a cut of the revenue to the website that referred the traffic.
